Preventing Veterans homelessness

One Step at a Time

Did you know...

The Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) provides nationwide estimates of homelessness.

2018 Point-in-Time report shows 37,878 homeless Veterans.

With our organization’s mission always in mind,

we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge.

Think about the cost of utilities

(water, sewage, trash, gas, electric and propane).

Energy use can make a big difference.

Are the appliances over 5 years old? Are they energy star or EPEAT certified? Is the insulation over 10 years old?

Appliances and insulation wear out over time.

How you can help.

According to US Energy Information Administration the average cost of electricity in California is 19 cents per kWh compared to the national average of 12.47 cents. The average US household uses 897 kWh per month.

$1.00 = 5 kilowatt hours (kWh) electricity.
